show Abstracthide AbstractManaged Aquifer Recharge (MAR) systems play a vital role in replenishing groundwater aquifers, yet the functional diversity of soil microbiomes at varying depths in agricultural soils used for MAR remains largely unexplored. To investigate this, metagenomics and Metagenome-Assembled Genomes (MAGs), was employed to examine the soil microbial communities and their functional potential. In a field experiment conducted in a California vineyard, soil DNA was sequenced both before and after MAR water application, enabling a comprehensive analysis of microbial diversity across different soil depths.
